Join us for our next general meeting: Tuesday, March 24 | 6:00pm | JTSD Cafeteria!
Get ready to turn the page on an unforgettable adventure! Our Spring Book Fair, Treasured Tales, is coming to the library Monday, February 23 – Friday, February 27.
Students will have time to shop during the school day, and families —parents, grandparents, and guardians — are invited to stop by during parent/teacher conferences and showcase to browse and shop too!
We’re looking for volunteers to help make this a storybook experience students will treasure. There are lots of ways to jump in:
Compiling information packets for students to take home
Creating decorations and decorating the library and hallways*
Setting up the library for the Book Fair
Helping students shop, create wish lists, and cashiering
Resetting the library and taking down decorations after the fair
*Decorating is flexible—come and go as your schedule allows! If sign-up slots are full, please feel free to email.
Every helping hand helps bring these Treasured Tales to life!
If you have questions reach out to rowenastone@jtsdpto.org.
Let’s make this Book Fair a chapter our students will always remember!
🍄Everglow Forest Book Fair Recap🍄
The Everglow Forest Book Fair was held October 20–24, and according to Ms. Eiche, it was one of the smoothest and most successful of the 26+ book fairs she’s organized at JTSD!
📚 Impact by the Numbers:
Over 600 new titles have been added to the JTSD Library through rewards from the past five book fairs.
30 volunteers (23 parents, 3 grandparents, 4 staff) contributed 170+ hours decorating, cashiering, helping students, and managing logistics.
4 student winners were recognized in the Acorn Guessing Game—out of a total 863 acorns in the jar! (The closest guess was within 4!)
🎯 Next Year’s Goal:
For the 2025–2026 school year, the Book Fair Committee aims to raise enough rewards to fund classroom book clubs across every grade level—keeping new books flowing into students’ hands all year long.
✨ A huge thank-you to everyone who helped bring the Everglow Forest to life and made this event such a magical success!
Thank you,
Rowena Stone
